Product Image Upscale connects your WordPress & WooCommerce store to the productimageupscale.com service, letting you upscale images at 2x, 4x, or 8x automatically via Auto-Pilot on product save, directly from the WooCommerce Product Editor, via Global Bulk Actions on your product catalog, or right inside the WordPress Media Library.

Whether you are running a high-volume WooCommerce store or any WordPress site that demands crisp, studio-grade imagery, this plugin automates the visual enhancement process completely.

When images are upscaled, the plugin sends them to the Product Image Upscale AI engine, which restores high-frequency textures, sharpens edges, and eliminates blur without introducing artifacts. For total flexibility, store owners can choose between replacing existing image files or non-destructive Safe Duplication (generating new media attachments while preserving originals).

How It Works

1. Install the plugin and enter your API key from productimageupscale.com.
2. Auto-Pilot (Hands-Free): Enable Auto-Pilot Background Sync in settings. Whenever you create or edit products, low-resolution images are detected and automatically enhanced in the background.
3. From WooCommerce Product Edit: Edit any product, scroll down to the „AI Product Image Upscaler” meta box, and upscale individual images or batch process them all at once.
4. From WooCommerce Products List: Select multiple products, choose „Upscale Images with AI” from Bulk Actions, review the scanned image breakdown in the modal, and upscale live or queue in the background.
5. From the Media Library: Navigate to Media, click „Upscale” on any image or use Bulk Actions.
6. The plugin sends the image to the API, receives the enhanced version, and depending on your settings, either replaces the original file or safely duplicates it as a new media attachment.

Third-Party Service

This plugin relies on the Product Image Upscale external service to process images.

When upscaling is performed, the following data is sent to the Product Image Upscale API:

• The public URL or uploaded image file
• Your selected upscale factor (2x, 4x, or 8x)
• Your selected texture type (Model, Fabric, Leather, or None)

Data is sent only when an administrator initiates an upscale or enables the optional Auto-Pilot Background Sync on product save. No data is sent without administrator configuration.
