The store domain is registered with HoverBot automatically. * Your products become the assistant’s knowledge: name, categories, price, stock status, link and description of every published product. Saved products and stock changes are sent as they happen; drafts, private and trashed products are removed. Switch it off or run a full sync from the settings page. * Already a HoverBot customer? Paste your Chatbot ID and Widget Key instead. * Hide the chat on the cart or checkout page if you prefer. * Disconnect removes the chat and revokes the plugin’s access in one click. The plugin adds one script to your storefront footer. It does not change theme files and reads no order or customer data. Product sync sends product data only. ### External services This plugin connects to HoverBot (https://www.hoverbot.ai), operated by HoverBot. * When you click „Create account and connect”, the email, name, password, assistant name, chosen template and brand color you enter, plus your store’s domain, are sent to app.hoverbot.ai to create your account and chatbot. The password is not stored in WordPress. * When connected, your store’s domain is sent to app.hoverbot.ai so the chat is allowed on it. * When „Keep products in HoverBot knowledge” is on (the default for a store connected by this plugin), the name, categories, tags, SKU, price, stock status, permalink and description of each published WooCommerce product are sent to app.hoverbot. ai, at connect time, on a full sync, and whenever a product or its stock status changes. No order, customer or inventory quantity data is sent. * On every storefront page, visitors’ browsers load the widget from app.hoverbot. ai and send their chat messages to app.hoverbot.ai. Upload the plugin zip under Plugins -> Add New -> Upload Plugin, and activate it. 2. Open WooCommerce -> HoverBot (or Settings -> HoverBot without WooCommerce). 3. Create your account and connect, or connect an existing chatbot. 4. With WooCommerce, your published products are added to the assistant’s knowledge in the background. Sign in to the HoverBot dashboard to add your shipping and returns pages too. ## GYIK ### The chat does not appear Check that the store domain shown on the settings page is in the chatbot’s Allowed Domains in HoverBot. If you connected with „Create account and connect”, press „ Register domain again”. Caching plugins may need their cache cleared once. ### Which product data is sent to HoverBot? Name, categories, tags, SKU, price, stock status (in stock or sold out), permalink and description of published products, and for variable products the same for each variation. Not sent: inventory quantities, cost, orders, customers. A product set to draft, private or trash is removed from HoverBot. Switch sync off under WooCommerce- > HoverBot -> Settings, or filter the payload with `hoverbot_chat_product_payload`. ### My store was connected by Chatbot ID and Widget Key. Can it sync products? No. Product sync uses the plugin’s own access, which only „Create account and connect” sets up. Add products as knowledge in the HoverBot dashboard, or disconnect and connect again from the plugin. ### Can I test against a non-production HoverBot environment? If you installed HoverBot Chat 2.0.0 from a zip, deactivate it before activating this plugin. Settings carry over.
