Google Map Widget


As it’s name, it will add a new widget called Google Map Widget inside Dashboard. This widget can be use to display your address on Google map. Google Map Widget is fully customizable so you can easily change address, zoom level, map type, view type and height. it can easily display Satellite, Street and Hybrid map base on your choice.

Editable Fields

  • Address : Your address on Google Map.
  • Zoom Level – 1 to 21.
  • Map Type : Satellite, Street and Hybrid.
  • Map Hight : To increase and decrease height of map.

This is very lightweight plugin so it will not affect performance of your website. you can easily add Google Map Widget to any registered widget area like left sidebar, right sidebar, footer and header.

Steps to Setup

  1. Install and active Google Map Widget plugin.
  2. Open widgets page : Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets.
  3. Find and add Google Map Widget to registered area.
  4. Change address and other settings.
  5. Done !!

Google Map Widget uses Google map embed feature so you do not need to create and use API key. it is very simple to use and will not take more than 30 seconds to setup.

  1. Download plugin zip file.
  2. Open Dashboard of your WordPress website.
  3. Open: Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin > Browse… (select downloaded zip file) > Install Now
  4. Now simply activate plugin.


Where can i find this widget

You can find ‘Google Map Widget’ on widgets page. here: Appearance > Widgets >Google Map Widget. Simply add it to widget area and edit fields address, zoom level, map type, view type and height accordingly.
